Eyes 'manual'
there are a few things you need to know when using them.
1. the sliders control the opening and closing of each eye lid.
2. the box that the slider is in can rotate +/- 45 which will rotate the eye lids aswell to give extra expression.
3. you will need to import the eyes twice into the scene as duplicating them will not work.
4. in the outliner the eye is all one group which for both eyes will need to be parented to the model so that they move with the model.
5. the locator in front of the eyes is where they are looking. when you have both eyes in the scene you will need to create a new object (a small nurbs sphere would be good) which you parent the two locators to. This will enable you to move both eyes at the same time and also one at a time.
6. if they stick out the back of the thinner models then you need to apply a latice to them. (ask Mike he knows more about these than me).
Good work all. Hope thats all ok. Give me a ring with any problems :)

Scripts
here is the list of scrips that we discussed. Please have a think as to which one you'd like to do or think you can do. Try and have a decision by Thursday so we can sort it out :)
I rekon there is a range of hard and simple ones so something should suit everyone.
Bubbles - Mike
Eyes following or randomly blinking
Tree
Flour falling
Camera following something
Tiles on the floor
Letters on the fridge generated or positioned randomly
Blendshape for all eyes - (me maybe)
Books on shelf
Jumping sugar cubes
Have a think and a play and we can decide on Thursday :)

Hand In.
Just thought it would be an idea to not be rushing around to get everything done like last time. Granted it was because I had a gammy computer at the time trying to sort the PowerPoint out that is now burning in the fiery chasm of Hell, but still.
Ciao for now.

girl's body
I'm sorry this is such late notice but I've been working on the girl for a bit now and have encountered so many problems that I just dont know how to fix or get round. I'm really not sure that I'm going to be able to complete the model in time for the deadline because my modelling skills are just not good enough.
If anyone has finished all their work and would like to take on the model of the girl, I'd be most grateful. But I realise that this is a huge thing to ask of anyone. I've got pictures of my 3 year old cousin that I'm using and I was thinking of having the girl in our project wear dungarees because denim is quite a stiff material and so we wouldnt have to worry too much about the movement of the material when she's moving.
So far I've just about half the body done, but it's looking pretty poo I have to admit.
Please comment and we can get this all sorted in time for friday. Thanks guys

I've put two screenshots up on box for the forks' eyes.
I know we mentioned that all the characters would have the same eyes but I remember talking about giving the forks small beady eyes to help make them look more menacing and not very nice.
Either way, I put both onto the model (not the finished ones, just there for visual purposes) so if you have a spare second just have a look and see which you prefer for the character.
See you all in a couple of days.

Bio example
Spork
Given Name: Spork
Nickname(s): Sporky
Appearance:
Physical abilities/limitations:
Much like a sack race, the Spork hops in a similar fashion, to progress forwards springing at the half way point of the handle. The titanium part (head and neck) though is much more flexible and can twist up to 135 degrees in any direction. He can be used like a fork to penetrate solid food to heighten the chances of it staying on it before entering ones mouth. Also, Spork can be use like a spoon to either gather food or to catapult relevant objects at a chosen target.
Background:
Made in
Life in the kitchen drawer for a character with such a great amount of energy isn’t healthy at all. He dreams of one day, plucking up the courage to take that first step out into the forbidden zone known as the ‘kitchen’.
Every day, it seems to be the same for him, other cutlery are constantly getting picked up and used yet he stays unused. This doesn’t help with his social life; the forks mock him every so often and reject him every time he tries to hang out with them. When he tries approaching the knives, the snobs simply chuckle to themselves and leave Spork feeling unwanted. There are only really two options for him, he either lives by himself alone or sinks to the level of hanging out with the spoons. This however is the ultimate shame as a piece of cutlery, as they are quite literally ‘off their heads’!
Now, this isn't a finalized version as I'm sure you can find many issues with it. Any pointed out would be good/suggestions of new things. Er, basically, what I was thinking was having a few key details about Spork at the top e.g. height, weight etc. Down below would be the background bio. If anyone has any suggestions to improve this structure - plz do tell. I was thinking about boosting it up with loads more info and go into loads of detail, like his favourite meal, and his best friend etc, but I tought this might be worthless in the long term goal. Maybe I'm wrong. Plz get back to me and post comments. TY CJ

BACK TO WORK
as i said in the text please read victorias email she sent us about writing for animation hand in. Its really good and we do have a lot to do to get this ready for submission.
I suggest that everyone goes through this list and does everything on there to do with the characters you have to do. Basically everything under the Stock Pack heading. If we can really put in loads of effort to make this looking as sexy as possible it would be great cos we dont want to slack off right at the end :).
So can everyone make a real effort to do everything possible for there characters. Also we dont want to be doing it the day before submission!
The rest of the stuff on the email i think that we should be able to do between us when we get back next week. A lot of it we have written out already in the presentation we did at the end of last term. We will have a meeting on monday i think.
I only have two animated characters and they suck to be honest lol (the bin and cheese grater) so i dont have a lot to do cos they dont move much. Can i have maybe spork, fork, spoon or something with a bit more animtion to it so i can do some really nice character sheets please :). if you have one of these and want to give it to me cos you have loads to do or something then give me a text.
Thank you and can you also give me a text when youve read this so i know that everyone is up to date etc :). wooo go us we rock! bring on a week of hard work until we can say woo the boring design bit is done!
