Presentation

Hey guys
I've just done a rough draft of my side of the presentation about the characters I modelled. I've put it up on box if you want to check it out. Let me know if there's anything I've missed out in it.
I've also written up a little list of things we should probably include in our presentation too about the characters and models, which you can find on the last page of the pp pres (called Spec)

omg! the excitement for this presentation is just too much...............not! (Borat quote right there!)

Hey guys been trying out different techniques for the head and just thought id show some work in progress for one of the heads. This obv isn't the head of the girl just showing you something ive been workng on!

I plan to have this one completed by tomorow and then get cracking on the girl on the weekend and hopefully finish it this weeekend.

it takes a lot longer to do head due to contouring of the head and stuff.

Kitchen update

Hi guys. Ive pretty much just finished the kitchen. here is a quick pic. I have also uploaded the maya files on box.net so you can import your own things into it to check for sizes and also images of the designs are on there so that you can see dimensions aswell.

Microwave

Microwave is done, though I haven't mastered the glass effect on the front yet.
Need to do other characters also.
I've uploaded the model onto box.net for you guys to check out (Y) (Y) << dual thumbs.

box.net details

Hello all. Modeling is coming along but really needs to be done asap! I'm aiming to have mine done by the end of this week so gives us a week to change around a bit.
I came up with an amazing idea :P of creating an online storage account for all the model files so that everyone can access them all.
So when people have done a model or have done most of it please can you upload the maya file online so that we can all see them and have access. It really easy and really really quick.
The details are -

website - www.box.net
email - yeeeeees@hotmail.co.uk (joe's email. 6 e's)
password - spork

Go team spork :P :)

mug = needing a face/refining with help of maya-know-how-people, otherwise it's done.
same with the tree.
(Y)

cereal boxes won't take half an hour, literally.
sink is going to be a big job, i haven't started that yet, but already today doing my mug i've got more confident on maya, which is gooooooooooooooooooooooood.

next time i'm in the workshop i'll screenshot it and put it up.

Left bit of Kitchen

Hellooo. Here are the plans for the left (fridge) side of kitchen. It has all the measurements on it in cm and is all to scale. Just so that designing the things to go on shelves and the side etc think about the size of them on the kitchen side. Theres also a screenshot of a really really quick but roughly to correct size kitchen side so you can see it in maya. Also when you have finished a design for your model can you email me and I can update the list with a tick for done design and another tick for completed model. Then we can have a really good idea of whats still to design and model. Thanks.

RE: Animatic

I'd say go with the fade over the hand montage, and the shot of him looking sad doesn't need to be as long.
Neither do some of the other shots either I thought, as I tried 'watching' it in my head.
And we might get away with not including the fridge and the kitchen pan in the minute parameter, like saying it's similar to the closing credit scene or something, I don't know.

But I reckon a lot of it is cutting down shot length as opposed to cutting storyline, but that is going to be a factor somehwere too.

Animatic 1

Here is the first draft of the animatic. Its good. There are parts i like and parts i dont so much. Its 1.50min tho :S so it does need some editing down. Let me know what you think.
